Trip Facts

  • Duration:21 Days
  • Grade:Moderate
  • Activity: Trekking
This is one of the most breathtaking classic walks through the most exciting and awesome landscape on earth to the base of the world’s seventh highest mountain Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), “the White Mountain”. This exceptional and strenuous circuit trek has a lot to offer to all adventurous walkers in quest of an adventure among serene and exotic landscapes, the unparallel scenic grandeur and the incredible religious and ethnic encounters. Walking through the traditional, unspoiled, picturesque villages with their cheerful hospitable folks – Magars and Gurungs, the remote, unexplored pristine valleys, the thrilling ice-falls and glaciers, challenging high passes with awesomely dramatic scenery of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges, Nilgiri and the deepest gorge, Kaligandaki simply make ever lasting memories of this trek. Following the river upstream, the trail passes through the delightful ferns, forest of Oak, other deciduous trees and junipers. In spring the trail passes through the rhododendron blooms and other wild flowers. It startlingly consists of more than fifteen 7000-meter magnificent peaks with land of dramatic contrast passing through a more diverse range of climate, vegetation and cultures than most countries can boast. It is particularly attractive to walkers drawn to high mountains and wilderness, and requires an excellent physical condition with basic mountaineering skills.
