In the afternoon, proceed to the sightseeing tour of Red Fort. Red Fort: It is one of the most spectacular pieces of Mughal Architecture, built by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan between 1638 and 1648. It has walls extending up to 2 kms in length with the height varying from 18 meters on the river side to 33 meters on the city side. The Fort sports all the obvious trappings befitting a vital center of Mughal governance - halls of public and private audiences, domed and arched marble palaces, plush private apartments, a mosque, and elaborately designed gardens. Even today, the Fort is an eloquent reminder of the glory of the Mughal era, and its magnificence simply leaves one awestruck. It is still a calm haven of peace, which helps one to break away, from noisy and busy life outside the walls of the Fort.  We welcome you on your arrival at the airport, our representative meets you and transfers you to the hotel. Mentok and Mt. Kharlung on the right side, and Mt. Kurchu and Mt. Lungser on the left side. The Lake is a home to some rare wildlife like Kyang, Blue sheep, Ibex and the famous Himalayan snow leopard. It is also the breeding ground for numerous species of birds like Bar Headed Goose, Great Crested Grebe, the Brahmini duck etc. The few barley-fields at Korzok must be among the highest cultivation in the world.
Korzok Monastery: It is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery belonging to the Drukpa Lineage located in the ancient village on the western bank of Tso-Moriri lake. It houses a Lord Shakyamuni Buddha and other statues, which are 350 years old. It is also home to about 35 monks.
The Korzok Gu-stor Festival: It is held at the Korzok Monastery and attracts many Chang-pa (the Tibetan plateau nomadic herdsmen). The festival lasts for two days and ends with the dismemberment and dispersal of the 'Storma' (sacrificial cake) by the leader of the Black Hat dancers in a ceremony called 'Argham' (Killing). [1]The ceremony symbolizes the destruction of evil, and pays homage to the the assassination of the Tibetan apostate King Lang-dar-ma by a Buddhist monk. At the festival, masks are worn by the dancers to represent the Dharmapalas (guardian divinities of the Buddhist pantheon). The festival is usually held in July or August.
